Worldwide, silver is identified with the lunar manifestations of the Great Mother, the eternal goddess. As the metal is reflective, as the moon reflects the light of the sun, so does silver reflect negativity. Silver is often used to enhance psychic abilities, as it is a psychic-influencing metal. When worn it stimulates psychic awareness but simultaneously lulls the conscious, so as not to overwhelm. The charms on our products are Sterling silver (where stated) do not contain nickel, only silver and copper. The international saftey limit for lead is 0.06% of lead content, we do not sell product with ANY lead content!Because many of the Sterling Silver charms used by Indigo Crow Taxidermy are under 7.78 grams in weight and a hallmark is not required. As required by law, all charms over 7.78 grams in weight are fully hallmarked.
A Hallmark is a compulsory set of three marks. The first is the makers or sponsormark (the person requiring the application of the hallmark). The second mark is the percentage of precious metal contained within the metal of the object (also know as a fineness mark). The third denotes the Assay Office which stamped the hallmark in accordance with UK Hallmarking Laws (the anchor denotes Birmingham Assay Office). Anything less than the above three compulsory marks is NOT a hallmark.
